Even pop royalties and 80’s rivals, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna are extending their love and thoughts for the typhoon Haiyan survivors in the Philippines.

Cyndi Lauper expressed her concerns via her official Twitter account last November 13:

And this wasn’t the first time the Grammy, Emmy and Tony award winning artist donated to the typhoon victims in the Philippines. Back in 1989 after her first concert stint in Manila, Ms. Lauper reached out to the typhoon victims. Read the previous article here.

Madonna on the other hand, is convincing her fans to help donate via her official Facebook account through Mercy Corps:

Words can’t express how grateful we, the whole Filipino nation, are to you Cyndi and Madonna! A huge thanks, hugs and salute to you both.

It’s been exactly six months today since the last time I posted here in my blog and guilty as charged (once again), without a word to my loyal readers & followers, I just took a pause and disappeared from the blogosphere.

And to sum up my lame “excuses”, let’s just say that my life has never been more exciting and thrilling and adventurous and colorful as before. Been through a lot: the good, the bad, the worst, the best. But the greatest part of it, is the fact that I was able to catch my breath and spent quality time with the real people (family & friends) who truly cared for me.

Of course there were a few travels to places I’ve never been to; the joy of meeting up new faces; the braving of my very demanding career at work; the learning of exploring new things and last but certainly not the least, it bought me sometime to challenge myself in search of that one thing that everyone I’m sure familiar with—love. And believe me when I say that I almost have it during my last December/January trip to Manila but because I have a “career” to tend to here in Bangkok, I have to bid goodbye to that “almost love of mine”. Though I’m still a work in progress in that area, the verdict of my six-month hiatus: PRICELESS!

So to start afresh and to make up with you guys, allow me to introduce to you the fresh face behind those photos above. And yes, he’s the hottest and fastest uprising star in Thailand right now that would give Nadech Kugimiya or Mario Maurer a run for their money—JAMES JIRAYU TANGSRISUK. . .

Although at first you may think that James is only around 16 or 17, don’t get easily deceived…he’s already 19 years old turning 20 this September 19. I know. He’s really a fresh breath of air that you just want to inhale and can’t live without. With a towering height of 184 cm or 6 feet 1 inch tall, James started his career just very recently but he already have captured a hundred thousand hearts and more here in the Land of Smile.

A current talent of Channel 3 in Thailand, James was launched in his first starring role in a soap opera along with the other four male talents of the said network titled, “Suparburoot Jutathep” or “The Five Brothers” while all five of them was introduced altogether as, “The Gentleman” (it should be plural…I know, right?) superstars of Channel 3.

The soap opera is a five-part series telling stories of each sibling which was first aired in March of this year. The third part titled, “Khun Chai Puttipat”, is about a young doctor from a rich family set in a Thai colonial period which is of course played by non-other than James. It was broadcasted from May 3 until 24 from Friday to Sunday and I myself was able to preview his soap when I switched channels from my remote during commercial breaks. I also chanced upon him being interviewed at TV Pool and of course, from his own mother network. Here are some of the promotional posters of their lakorn. . .

Although he is the hottest item right now, his manager won’t let him do any product endorsements with very limited ramp modeling at the moment as his manager wants him to hone first his craft in acting on TV. Nevertheless, his popularity is getting bigger everyday!

And why people do give a damn about him? Here’s another reason why you should convert your “faith” to James from your current Thai idols: he also has a big heart. Take a look at the pics below during a charity he did. I’m sure, your heart will melt. . .
